• Threats, repression or violence against judicial actors
• Egregious instances of executive overreach, including in respect of the allocation of powers among the branches of government, free expression/association of political opponents and independent voices of dissent, or invocation of emergency decrees or other tools for political suppression

The global objective of this call for proposals is to strengthen participatory democracy and support North Macedonia’s EU accession by empowering civil society and media organisations to engage in policymaking, sector reforms, and enhancing freedom of speech, digital technology use, and to reinforce systems to prevent and respond to gender-based and domestic violence.

The applicant organisations must implement the projects themselves. Consortia are not eligible and forwarding funds to other implementing organisations is not permitted.

•Improving operational conditions for the independent cultural scene, with a focus on access to space. Supported projects should raise awareness of the urgent infrastructural and spatial needs of the sector and provide concrete advocacy proposals or policy recommendations for affordable, functional, and long-term spaces as a precondition for sustainable cultural work.

•Advocating for better structural support, funding, and resource-sharing. Supported projects should mobilize cultural organizations and communities to advocate for stronger and more transparent public funding for culture, particularly at the municipal level, and propose structural solutions to ensure financial sustainability.

Help peacebuilding organisations that partner with local actors in at least five countries to further adapt their organisational governance, processes and practices to build equitable partnerships in dialogue with their partners, donors and other key stakeholders.

Promoting European Integration and Sustainable Development

●Combating hate speech and/or countering intolerance, exclusion, discrimination, inequality, hatred and racism in local communities in North Macedonia, whereby focusing on vulnerable groups such as Roma, people with disabilities, people of different ethnicity/religions, LGBTI people, etc.
●Creation and promotion of counter and alternative narratives to hatred and intolerance and enhancing dialogue among different groups in the society.
●Promotion and protection of rights of LGBTI persons in the local communities in North Macedonia related to access to health and education, in the area of sports, media and administration, protection against hate speech and hate crime, etc.

The general objective of the WB Youth Cultural Fund Call for Proposals is to support individuals (cultural practitioners, artists, etc.) and civil society sector (NGOs) in the Western Balkans to foster reconciliation, peacebuilding, regional cooperation, and intercultural learning by providing young people with opportunities that create space for increased understanding, dialogue and mutual learning, across communities and RYCO Contracting Parties.

This call aims to support projects that bring together a wide range of people from twinned towns, from different socio-economic backgrounds, genders and countries. By mobilising members of the public at the local and EU levels to debate specific issues on the European political agenda, this call seeks to promote mutual understanding, inclusion and cultural diversity and develop opportunities for civic engagement at the EU level.

The objective of the present call is to provide structural support, referred to as operating grants, to European non-governmental organisations (ENGOs) and EU-wide networks active in the field of youth

Supporting, advancing and implementing comprehensive policies to protect and promote the rights of the child, including the right to participate

The global objective of this call for proposals is to enhance the rule of law in the country by raising the intolerance to corruption in the whole society.

The CERV programme provides funding for citizens engagement, equality for all and the implementation of rights and EU values. Its general objective is to protect and promote the rights and values enshrined in the Treaties, the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and in the applicable international human rights conventions. The programme does this in particular by supporting civil society organisations and other stakeholders active at local, regional, national and transnational level, and by encouraging civic and democratic participation, in order to sustain and further develop open, rights-based, democratic, equal and inclusive societies based on the rule of law. It pays particular attention to encouraging the participation of regional and local civil society organisations.
Each project application under the call must address only one of these priorities:

The general objective of the Programme is to enhance the engagement of young people and organisations in accessible and high-quality solidarity activities, primarily volunteering, as a means to strengthen cohesion, solidarity, democracy, European identity and active citizenship in the Union and beyond, addressing societal and humanitarian challenges on the ground, with a particular focus on the promotion of sustainable development, social inclusion and equal opportunities.

Strengthen regional cooperation and participatory democracies around the WB region

The aim is to fund projects that pursue holistic approaches across multiple levels and, above all, demonstrate how to practically implement climate action, adaptation and biodiversity conservation in (including through policy advice, capacity building, technological cooperation, investment/financial mechanisms, and implementation in urban and peri-urban areas).

a) to increase the transnational circulation and the diversity of European literary works, through the translation, publication, distribution, and promotion of works of fiction written in less widely spoken languages.                                                                                                                                                b) to promote reading and the linguistic and cultural diversity of European literature to a large audience.
c) to support the profession of literary translator in line with the principles of good working conditions and fair remuneration
d) to increase the competitiveness of the book sector by encouraging cooperation between different actors within the book value chain, notably between publishers, booksellers, and libraries.
