30 Sep 2024

From 20th to 25th September 2024, the Civic Resource Center team organised four informational sessions in Gostivar, Shtip, Bitola, and Skopje regarding the Call for Action Grants for Local Initiatives.

The Civil Resource Centre team emphasised that the aim of this call is to strengthen local organisations, stimulate and increase their contribution to the community, and reinforce their connection with their constituents and citizens in general. This call will support initiatives addressing broader community concerns, focusing on strengthening local democracy, active citizenship, and social responsibility by tackling pressing local issues. Examples include activities aimed at resolving social, environmental, youth, gender, and other challenges of interest to the local community.

In addition to the objectives of the Call, the info-sessions provided a detailed explanation of the Call’s conditions, eligibility criteria, as well as the formats and application procedures.

The most frequently asked questions during these sessions were related to the similarities and differences in the eligibility criteria for the lead applicant and co-applicant, the process for completing the application form and its annexes, as well as questions about the five online training courses offered within the on Academy, which is one of the mandatory eligibility criteria for this Call.
