On 28th November 2025, the project team conducted a visit of the Mobile Resource Center (MRC) in the municipality of Jegunovce. The meeting was held in the premises of the Municipal Primary School "Aleksandar Zdravkovski", where local organisations and activists from this municipality had the opportunity to be informed about current developments in the development of civil society at the local and national levels, opportunities for financing and strengthening civil society organisations, opportunities offered by the Civic Resource Centre, the EU agenda and other topics and issues that are of interest to the functioning of organisations at the local level. The visits to the Mobile Resource Center aim to bring the Civic Resource Center (CRC) closer to local organisations in different municipalities and regions and to discuss the needs and challenges that organisations face in their work.
Some of the attendees shared their experiences in participating in various projects and showed great interest in the opportunities offered by the CRC, especially for regular information on current calls and events, as well as for the free online trainings available at the CRC Academy, and some of them especially emphasized the importance of holding the MRC in smaller municipalities. "Jegunovce is a remote municipality in terms of events in civil society and therefore such meetings are needed for citizens to be informed and included," said Metin Muaremi from the Center for Education and Development-Tearce.
The principal of the Aleksandar Zdravkovski Primary School, Nikolina Misovska, who was present at this meeting, emphasized that such meetings are a great motivation for them as a small municipality and welcomed this activity of the CRC with sincere gratitude.
As part of this visit of the Mobile Resource Centre, a meeting was also held with the Mayor of the Municipality of Jegunovce, Dimitar Kostadinoski, at which they discussed civil society, which unfortunately is at an unenviable level in this municipality, but also about the opportunities that the municipality offers for young people and their experience so far in participating in calls for EU projects.
The municipality has a Commission for Social Relations, Commission for Relations between Communities, as well as a Commission for Equal Opportunities between Men and Women. In order for interested citizens and activists from this municipality to contact the local civil sector, the official municipal website specifically highlights the civil society organisations from this municipality with a contact person and contact details for each one.
The cooperation and support of civil society organisations in this municipality is under Local Economic Development Unit. “The local economic development programs foresee funds in the amount of 60,000 denars that will be allocated for the maintenance of other buildings and transfers to NGOs that care for the support of local development for the issuance of information material and costs for publications that promote the economic potential of the municipality,” says the publicly announced Civic Budget for 2025 of this municipality.
The visit of the Mobile Resource Centre was organised under the project “EU Support to the Civil Society Resource Centre – Phase 2”, funded by the European Union, and implemented by the National Civil Society Development Foundation Civic Resource Centre, the Macedonian Centre for International Cooperation (MCIC), Media Plus, Shtip and the Association for Democratic Initiatives – ADI, Gostivar.
