Anita Gagovska Trenchevska and Zlatko Talevski started their activities as regional experts from the civil society who will be the contact points of the Civic Resource Centre (CRC) to support and strengthen local organisations. They were selected at the Open Call for Regional Civil Society Experts.
The selected experts, as an integral part of the CRC’s National Platform of supporters of civil society organisations, will provide resources, guidance and support at the local level, to improve the capacities of CSOs in the respective regions and beyond. They will encourage cooperation and networking among CSOs as well as with other stakeholders and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and best practices among CSOs.
Anita Gagovska Trenchevska is a regional expert of CRC for the Southwest planning region.
She has more than 18 years of experience in civil society, with a focus on the Southwest and Pelagonia region. Anita will provide support and strengthen civil society organisations (CSOs) in the following areas: social entrepreneurship, digital transition, fund-raising, advocacy and policy making, public relations and visibility of CSOs and quality of service delivery.
“I am happy that I will be able to contribute as a regional expert in the Civic Resource Centre, and to transfer my knowledge and experience to organisations in Macedonia. A strong civil society can make a significant social change, and digitalization and social innovation are one of the ways to achieve that change“,
pointed out Anita Gagovska Trenchevska at the start of her engagement.
Zlatko Talevski is a regional expert of CRC for the Pelagonia region.
He has more than 20 years of experience in civil society, with a focus on the Pelagonia region. Zlatko will provide support and strengthen civil society organisations in the following areas: enabling environment for civil society development, volunteering, fund-raising, advocacy and policy making, networking and partnership creation and financial management of CSOs.
“We are here to provide guidance, consultation, resources, training and mentoring support to CSOs for their strengthening and capacity building. Such decentralized support will be of great importance for CSOs and their further development and contribution to their sustainability”
added Zlatko Talevski.
The CRC program for capacity building of regional experts for quality implementation of their services was implemented on 3th September 2024, in the premises of the CRC in Skopje. At this meeting, a plan for their work until the end of 2024 was drawn up.
This activity is part of the project “EU Support to the Civil Society Resource Centre – Phase II” financed by the European Union and implemented by the National Civil Society Development Foundation – Civic Resource Centre, the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation, Media Plus, Shtip and Association for Democratic Initiatives – ADI, Gostivar.
