Electoral Navigator for Strengthening Democracy and the Electoral Process in North Macedonia

The overall objective is to contribute to strengthening democracy in North Macedonia through an improved electoral process and active participation, with a focus on increased transparency, credibility, and inclusiveness. This will be achieved through the active role of civil society, improved election monitoring, and ensuring fair and balanced media coverage.

1. R1: Improved accessibility, inclusiveness, and citizen participation in the electoral process
2. R2: Establishment of an election monitoring network involving young activists and civil society organisations to ensure fair, transparent, and inclusive elections
3. R3: Increased awareness, information, and active citizen participation in the electoral process
4. R4: Increased voter preparedness and participation, especially among youth, marginalized groups, and persons with disabilities
5. R5: Greater transparency, accountability, and effectiveness of electoral processes through a detailed evaluation of the 2025 local elections
6. R6: Identification of specific mechanisms and initiatives to improve transparency, integrity, and digitalization of the electoral process, and to increase public trust in the electoral systems
