The Civic Resource Centre Continues to Support CSOs

10 Feb 2023

We are pleased to inform you that the Civic Resource Centre continues to operate for the next four years (January 1, 2023 – December 31, 2026) with financial support from the European Union.

The Civic Resource Centre (CRC) provides support, information and builds the capacities of the civil society organisations (CSOs), thereby contributing to a strengthened civil society that actively participates in policy making and strengthens participatory democracy.

CRC will continue to support CSOs through:

  • Trainings, workshops and mentoring support for long-term planning, sustainability, visibility, advocacy, transparent and effective operation of CSOs.
  • Information on calls for funding, calls for capacity building, legal changes affecting the functioning of organisations, information on other relevant events and activities of CSOs and other stakeholders. Become part of our mailing list to receive this information. If you want your information to be shared on our mailing list, please send it at info@rcgo.mk. The information will be shared within three working days.
  • Opportunities for informing, consulting, debating and networking of CSOs at more than 30 informational events, debates, consultations and networking events.
  • Personalized support, guidelines and advice upon request through the Help Desk.
  • Field support to local organisations through the Mobile Resource Centre.

250,000 EUR are allocated for grants to local organisations. Over 25 grants of up to 10,000 euros will be awarded. These grants will be closely related to the capacity building program, i.e. organisations that will attend the appropriate introductory online trainings, workshops and mentoring support, will be eligible to apply for these grants.

In addition to the established local resource centres in Shtip and Gostivar, antenna resource centres will be selected for providing support in the remaining five regions in order to create a platform of resource centres for supporting the CSOs in the country.

Through research, analysis and events, CRC will continue to monitor and support the environment for civil society development, the implementation of the Strategy for Cooperation with and Development of Civil Society, the operation of the Council for Cooperation between the Government and Civil Society, the functioning of the Single National Electronic register of Regulations (ENER), Government openness and public participation in policy-creation processes.
