The Civil Society Resource Centre had an open day with civil society organisations (CSOs) in Bitola on 10th May 2018. 26 CSOs’ representatives from the Pelagonia region took part in the meeting. They stressed that the environment for CSOs in their region is in a poor state. The municipalities do not have a contact person for cooperation and support to CSOs, there is a lack of strategic approach, and even where there are local strategies for cooperation with CSOs, there is no implementation of the planned activities. This activity is part of the Mobile Resource Centre, which aims to bring the services of the Civic Society Resource Centre closer to as many organisations as possible in the whole country. The mobile resource centers not only enable local organisations to be informed about the developments in the civil society and the activities of the Civil Society Resource Centre, but also give them opportunity to share the challenges that they face in their work. Additionally, the organisations had opportunity to be involved in the consultation process and to give suggestions for the new Open Government Partnership Action Plan 2018-2020. Ministry of Information Society and Administration organises consultations on the new action plan with the support of MCIC within the Civil Society Resource Centre. The Civil Society Resource Centre is an EU-funded project.
