Members of Veles Biking trained in project management

3 Dec 2019

Members of the association Veles Biking were trained in administrative and financial management and project cycle management at the end of November 2019. The trainings were conducted by their mentoring organisation Center for Economic Analysis from Skopje.

At the first training on administrative and financial management, the organisation’s members discussed all segments for documentation and archiving including list of documents, time sheet, financial reporting, project registration in SEA and PRO, administrative procedures, partnership arrangements and rights and portfolio documents.

At the second two-day training on project cycle management, they gained knowledge about each of the individual segments, as well as the process from idea to implementation. On the second day of the training, the participants devoted themselves to the elaboration of a concrete idea and developed a concept by which the association could apply for an ongoing open call. The training resulted in a prepared initial version of a concept note for a particular idea, which members had to complete and send to trainers for comments and additional guidance.

The association Veles Biking – Veles implements the project “Strengthened capacities of local grassroot leaders for rapid development of tourism” in partnership with the mentoring organisation Center for Economic Analysis, funded by the program “National Resource Center for Civil Society Organisations”. The program is implemented by the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation (MCIC), Association for Democratic Initiatives (ADI) from Gostivar and Media Plus from Stip, and is funded by the EU.
