“We as organisations gain legitimacy through our results and therefore we need to communicate them to as many people as possible. Only this way, we can represent ourselves as a legitimate and trusted partner of the citizens on a certain issue. “With these words, Gonce Jakovleska, an expert on communication and public relations at MCIC, began the training on visibility and presentation of CSOs’ results.
New 14 civic activists advanced in the field of communications. They learned to segment the target audiences and, through group work, practiced how to use public communication tools. Furthermore, they also tried and upgraded their presentation skills.
The participants were satisfied with the training course and the offered content. They emphasized, as the most useful, the knowledge acquired about adjusting the contents for various social media, as well as all the presented tools for multimedia display of information.
Together with Boris Ristovski, an internet presence expert at MCIC, the participants became more successful in creating content for web and social media through the numerous tools available. Special attention was paid to the analysis of the online presence of the CSOs whose representatives participated in the training. They received feedback and advice to further improve their visibility.
At the end of the training, it was discussed about the development of the communication strategy as a tool for framing and planning organisation’s activities.
The training was held on 22-23 January and it is part of the capacity building programme within the Civil Society Resource Centre, EU-funded project implemented by Macedonian Centre for International Cooperation in partnership with Association for Democratic Initiative from Gostivar and Media plus from Shtip.
