CSOs in Kocani need trainings

22 Jan 2019

During the meeting with the team of the Mobile Resource Center on November 27, 2018, the civil society organisations (CSOs) in Kocani showed great interest in trainings on strategic planning, preparation of project proposals, mobilisation of volunteers, encouraging young people to participate in activities, actions and inclusion in policy making. They also stressed that they need access to funds, as well as more accessible information on how to reach them.

The present activists said they needed help to establish cooperation with the municipalities.

The Mobile resource centre also met with the mayor Nikolco Ilijev, who emphasized that there is will to support the projects of CSOs and other activists, but he expects from them greater pro-activeness, initiative and involvement.

The purpose of the meeting was to hear the needs of the organisations. In addition, the CSOs were informed about the work of the Civil Society Resource Centre, with an accent on the resource centre in Shtip and the support that CSOs can receive such as consultations and trainings.

Such meetings are foreseen in several municipalities under the Civil Society Resource Centre, an EU-funded project implemented by Macedonian Centre for International Cooperation in partnership with Media Plus, Shtip and Association for Democratic Initiatives, Gostivar.
