The training on resource mobilisation was held on 7-8 February in the Civil Society Resource Centre, Skopje, attended by 17 CSOs’ representatives. The participants were introduced to various funding opportunities for organisations, tools for strategy development, and planning resource mobilisation activities. Through practical exercises, participants made an assessment of the sustainability of their organisation, they did mapping of the funding sources, and also set strategic goals and performance indicators in resource mobilisation activities.
“The training was very useful, because we learned many new resource mobilisation methods and techniques which will have a positive impact on the sustainability and the successfulness of the organisation. The most productive was that through practical exercises and examples, we grasped the essence of ways to mobilize funds and resources, which will greatly help us in seeking donors’ support” said Zaklina Cvetkovska from RCS Spektar, Kriva Palanka.
Most of the participants’ questions were answered during the training, and their knowledge and skills were significantly increased with the training. Additionally, several organisations noted that after the training they will work in their organisations to prepare a strategic plan for resource mobilization. In the training evaluation, several organisations indicated the need to organise trainings for preparation of project application and project cycle management.
The training was implemented by the capacity building expert Liljana Alceva.
This training is part of the capacity building programme within the Civil Society Resource Centre, EU-funded project implemented by Macedonian Center for International Cooperation in partnership with Association for Democratic Initiatives, Gostivar and Media Plus, Stip.
